Title: Material Coordinator II

Pay:$20.00 - $24.00/hour

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Location: Hayward, CA

Duration: 3.5-month contract


Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory/Materials Specialist to support warehouse and logistics operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer finished goods inventory from manufacturing and receiving areas to warehouse locations for order fulfillment
  • Monitor and segregate finished goods inventory placed on hold on a daily basis
  • Facilitate transfer requests to and from offsite storage by generating ERP reports
  • Perform cycle counts, reconcile inventory variances, and submit for completion
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies prompted by customer service inquiries and system reports
  • Conduct random location audits to ensure inventory accuracy and proper maintenance
  • Track and manage inventory in temporary transit locations to ensure accurate transfers
  • Generate reports and support special projects as assigned; provide performance reporting as needed
  • Maintain a working understanding of company products, parts, and related technologies
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across departments
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Production Planning, Customer Service, Finance, and external vendors to resolve inventory issues
  • Support picking, packing, and shipping activities using scanners and manual methods
  • Process orders using ERP systems and shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager)

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in materials, inventory, or logistics (preferred)
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., life sciences, temperature-sensitive products preferred)
  • Familiarity with GMP and ISO standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with excellent math skills
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to a height of 36 inches
