Title: Financial Analyst II

Pay:$38.00 -$44.00/hour

Location: Los Angeles (near Grand Ave)

Schedule: Mon-Thurs On Site, Friday remote

Duration: 2- year Contract




This role is responsible for supporting financial reporting, analysis, and governance activities within a specialized program. The position focuses on ensuring accurate financial tracking, reporting, and compliance with internal controls while contributing to budgeting and forecasting efforts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and reconcile financial accounts
  • Prepare, review, and annotate variance reports
  • Develop and support financial forecasts and budgets based on operating plans
  • Conduct research to evaluate accounting implications of different approaches
  • Assist in establishing governance frameworks and internal controls for costs and expenditures
  • Support cost recovery processes
  • Maintain and manage financial data and records, including document organization and tracking
  • Contribute to financial reporting for a structured program environment
  • Present financial insights and analysis to management

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Work with financial data, reporting tools, and documentation systems
  • Support data and records management, with a strong emphasis on document organization platforms
  • Collaborate with a small team of financial analysts across varying experience levels
  • Assist with ongoing reporting, budgeting, and forecasting tasks

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent years of experience)
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience (Level II)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
  • Experience with reporting and financial analysis
  • Familiarity with financial management systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SharePoint (strongly preferred for data and records management)
  • Background in utilities or similar regulated industries
  • Experience supporting governance, internal controls, or cost tracking initiatives
