Project Estimator II (Entry-Level – Energy & Infrastructure)

We are looking for a driven Project Estimator II to support the preparation and management of cost estimates across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within project estimating while gaining hands-on experience across multiple energy and infrastructure technologies.
You will play a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality estimates while collaborating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates (conceptual, preliminary, and definitive) for new and existing projects
- Support conceptual engineering design and develop preliminary construction plans for scope quantification
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation to build accurate estimates
- Conduct value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
- Develop and maintain estimating tools, databases, and methodologies
- Perform risk assessments and support contingency planning
- Present estimates and findings to internal stakeholders and project teams
- Engage with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Track project costs and manage estimate updates throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and take direction
- Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or relevant experience in construction, engineering, or estimating
- Experience with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX)
- Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project or Primavera P6)
