Job Overview
The Associate Financial Analyst supports financial operations by processing transactions, preparing monthly cost analyses, and ensuring accurate and complete accounting records. This role contributes to financial reporting, maintains compliance for audits, and manages key accounting activities to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze monthly expenses and provide insights into cost center performance.
- Maintain complete and accurate financial and accounting records for audit readiness.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and gather required documentation for financial reports.
- Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet monthly closing deadlines.
- Apply technical accounting skills to support financial processes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required, OR
- High school diploma/equivalent with 5 years of accounting experience, OR
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of general ledger (GL) accounting, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
- Experience with ERP finance modules (e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong technical accounting and data analysis skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships.
