Job Description
This position applies skill and dexterity in the sewing of tissue and non-tissue components used to manufacture medical devices, in accordance with regulatory and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Use tools such as needles, scissors, forceps, specialized tooling, and microscopes to perform assigned steps (in rotation) in the sewing assembly of valves
- Perform verifications against specifications for completed steps and conduct successive checks on work completed by team members
- Review, follow, and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and SOPs, including recording traceable information in device history records
- Maintain general housekeeping of the work area
- Perform other incidental duties as assigned
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience with sewing, GMP environments, clean rooms, or medical device manufacturing preferred
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong hand-eye coordination required
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English required due to job duties
- Knowledge of and adherence to Environmental Health & Safety and Quality guidelines related to clean-room medical device manufacturing
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision while following detailed manufacturing instructions
- Successful completion of ongoing job training for assembly process steps
- Adherence to all company policies and requirements, including safety, environmental, and health protocols, with a focus on injury prevention and environmental protection
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0–2 years of relevant experience required
