Responsibilities:
- Perform quality assurance reviews of billing processes completed by third-party service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Process utility billing transactions, including billing adjustments, rebills, and exception resolution.
- Review and apply rate schedules, tariffs, customer classifications, and billing rules to ensure accurate invoice generation.
- Analyze usage data, billing determinants, and account configurations to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve routine billing exceptions and customer billing inquiries in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and established billing procedures.
- Provide guidance, quality review, and operational support to third-party service providers to maintain billing accuracy and process consistency.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in utility billing, billing operations, or billing quality assurance.
- Experience processing billing adjustments, rebills, and resolving billing exceptions.
- Working knowledge of utility rate schedules, tariffs, customer classifications, and billing regulations.
- Ability to analyze billing data and identify discrepancies or process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and quality assurance.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support cross-functional teams and third-party service providers.
