Business Analyst

Location: Rosemead, CA (Hybrid – Onsite Monday & Thursday)

Pay: 26-31 USD per hour

Duration: 3-Month Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:15 PM



Position Overview

We are seeking an entry-level Business Analyst/Data Analyst to support operational and business functions through data analysis, reporting, process documentation, and system maintenance activities. This role is ideal for candidates with strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and an interest in business operations and data management.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Analysis

  • Gather, compile, and analyze data from databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
  • Maintain and update records, files, tracking logs, and operational databases.
  • Perform basic quantitative analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Support data quality initiatives and SAP data cleanup activities.

Reporting & Excel Processing

  • Execute Excel macros to process transactions, including:
    • New Rentals
    • Rental Closeouts
    • Vehicle Remarketing Deactivations
    • Sales Item Processing
  • Prepare, review, and update reports such as the TSD Labor Report.
  • Distribute reports and operational updates via email.
  • Utilize Excel formulas, macros, and data analysis tools to support business operations.

System & Process Support

  • Perform system updates including:
    • Status changes
    • Maintenance plan deactivations
    • User access updates
  • Process Role Mapping and User Access Requests.
  • Maintain toll account records, including adding and removing license plates while ensuring data accuracy.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Create, review, and update work instructions, job aids, and process documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings and business process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support cost-saving initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 0–3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, operations support, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
    • Macros
    • Formulas
    • Data analysis and reporting
  • Experience working with data, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to follow established processes and perform repeatable tasks consistently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience creating or maintaining process documentation, work instructions, or job aids.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Data cleanup initiatives
    • Operational reporting
    • Business process support functions
