Description

This role supports communication initiatives from concept development through to on-time completion, ensuring projects meet defined metrics and business objectives. The position involves creating and executing communication plans, crafting messages, and leveraging research and analytics to drive strategies. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to process, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Primary responsibilities focus on HTML email creation, deployment, and measurement for employee and customer communications. Secondary responsibilities may include supporting employee web platforms, customer-facing websites, and assisting in business continuity during emergency or storm events. This is a one-year role with the possibility of extension.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of communication plans and initiatives.
  • Create, edit, and deliver clear, engaging messages across multiple channels.
  • Use research and analytics to inform planning, messaging, and performance measurement.
  • Follow established processes to ensure quality and timely project delivery.
  • Contribute to building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics for communication initiatives.
  • Develop, deploy, and measure HTML email campaigns for employee and customer communications.
  • Support intranet and public-facing websites as needed.
  • Provide assistance during emergency or storm response scenarios, including business continuity support.

Desired Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience; experience across multiple communication disciplines preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects with discipline and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused mindset with flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
  • Solid business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to conduct market research and apply analytics to improve communication outcomes.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with email marketing fundamentals from planning through measurement.
  • Web design knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
