Our client is a leading construction company serving communities across Texas. They are seeking a Distribution Construction Coordinator to coordinate contractor resources supporting the safe, timely, and efficient construction, maintenance, and restoration of overhead distribution facilities.

This role serves as a key liaison between the utility and contractor crews, ensuring appropriate staffing and resources are available to meet construction and restoration schedules, safety requirements, quality standards, and regulatory obligations.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on overhead distribution experience at the Crew Foreman level or above, along with the communication, organization, and technical skills needed to transition from field leadership into a utility-side coordination role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assign work to contractor crews and ensure adequate staffing and resources.
  • Monitor overhead distribution construction, restoration, safety, quality, and progress.
  • Track work and update project status in utility systems.
  • Coordinate switching orders, holds, clearances, materials, and construction documentation.
  • Review contractor performance and address field issues as needed.
  • Work with utility personnel, contractors, municipalities, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Travel to job sites throughout North and West Texas and support emergency restoration when required.

Key Requirements

  • Crew Foreman level or above — minimum requirement.
  • Journeyman Lineman, General Foreman, or Superintendent experience strongly preferred.
  • Significant overhead distribution line experience required.
  • Utility, electrical infrastructure, or utility contractor experience strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable coordinating contractor crews and holding them accountable for safety, quality, and schedule.
  • Comfortable using computers, Excel/spreadsheets, and work-tracking systems.

  • Willingness to travel and participate in an on-call/emergency restoration rotation.
