EHS Project Lead – Pharmaceutical CAPEX (Onsite)

We’re supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturing site that is actively executing multiple capital projects and is looking to bring on an experienced EHS professional to support safe project delivery.

This is a hands-on, onsite role working closely with project teams, contractors, and site leadership to ensure EHS standards are upheld across all phases of project execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead EHS support across ongoing CAPEX projects within an operating cGMP facility

• Partner with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure safe execution of work

• Review and approve contractor safety plans, permits, and daily work activities

• Conduct routine safety audits and site inspections across active project areas

• Chair and participate in EHS coordination meetings

• Work closely with site EHS teams to ensure alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements

• Support development and implementation of safety procedures and SOPs

• Provide real-time guidance on risk mitigation and safe work practices

Qualifications

• Strong EHS experience within pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environments

• Proven experience supporting CAPEX / capital projects in an operating facility

• Familiarity with EPCM project environments

• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910) and construction safety practices

• OSHA 30 certification preferred (or equivalent experience)

• Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with contractors and stakeholders
