Responsibilities
- Apply mechanical, fluidics, and electronics expertise to diagnose and resolve issues in electro-mechanical systems.
- Support project teams through system-level instrument testing and maintenance of related equipment.
- Monitor instrument performance at both system and sub-system levels, analyzing data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Conduct root cause analyses and present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
- Learn and understand new instrumentation platforms, developing and implementing maintenance and service programs to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and refine procedures that reduce or eliminate sources of recurring equipment failures.
Requirements
- 0–2+ years of relevant experience; background in biotechnology or medical device industries preferred.
- Hands-on experience working with commercial electro-mechanical systems.
- Strong data analysis skills and a systematic approach to problem solving.
- Familiarity with statistical and data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, MATLAB, Microsoft Excel) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities for reporting equipment issues and resolutions.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and workflows.
