Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer applies engineering principles and theories to support manufacturing operations, industrial layouts, and production processes. This role requires the ability to create engineering drawings and to read and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints. A key focus of this position is managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to ensure product and process quality.
Key Responsibilities
Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR)
- Document, track, and manage NCRs related to products, processes, or materials that do not meet established specifications.
- Ensure NCRs are written clearly, accurately, and in compliance with internal quality systems and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain NCR logs and databases to support traceability, audits, and reporting activities.
Quality Support and Collaboration
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to collect and verify information required for NCRs.
- Ensure NCRs include root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and disposition status.
- Follow up with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely closure of NCRs.
- Prepare NCR summaries and reports for management review and audit readiness.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and technical documentation skills.
- Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA QSR, or other industry-specific standards).
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to gather accurate and complete information.
- Experience with NCR tracking tools, ERP systems, or QMS software.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
- 2–4 years of relevant manufacturing or quality engineering experience required.
