The primary function of a Manufacturing Engineer is to apply engineering principles and theory to optimize industrial layouts and manufacturing processes. This role requires the ability to create engineering drawings and accurately read and interpret technical blueprints.
Key Responsibilities
Non-Conformance Reporting (NCRs)
- Document, track, and manage NCRs related to products, processes, or materials that do not meet specifications
- Ensure NCRs are clear, accurate, and compliant with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
- Maintain NCR logs and databases to support traceability and audit readiness
Supporting Duties
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to gather relevant NCR information
- Ensure NCRs include root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and disposition status
- Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely closure of NCRs
- Prepare NCR summaries and reports for management reviews and audits
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and technical writing skills
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards, regulatory frameworks, or industry-specific requirements)
- Ability to work cross-functionally and gather accurate technical information
- Experience with NCR systems, ERP, or QMS software tools
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required)
- 2–4 years of relevant experience
