Head of Product – Data

£600-650/day (inside IR35)

Our client is seeking an experienced senior Product contractor who can oversee the data platform
from a product consultancy perspective through a period of change as an interim until a permanent leader is appointed.
They will need be an experienced senior Product leader/strategist and have specific experience in building complex data platforms for large organisations.
However, the interim will not have direct reports
and will not be expected to manage a team.
The role will sit within the Digital Product – data platform function. The product is internal facing and is infrastructure that informs the capture of customer behaviour which generates data. The data is now being unified into one platform (from multiple other platforms currently used). The Head of Product will be overseeing the unification from multiple data platforms to a single platform.
- Significant experience of managing and developing products and services – including defining product roadmaps, product development, product life-cycle management, managing stakeholders , implementing long-term plans and applying market/audience/industry knowledge (where appropriate).
- Experience of writing and evaluating product specifications, proposals and reports.
- In-depth knowledge of agile delivery principles, quality software engineering processes and practices.
- Ability to plan and forecast product budget and deliver within that budget.
- Significant experience of appropriate technologies relevant to delivery of product/service/platform and selection of appropriate technology for task.
- Ability to understand and prioritise the needs of the product’s users - either audience members, editorial or development teams.
