Role Overview
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of people, technology, and operations—helping teams understand risk, make informed decisions, and move work forward securely, efficiently, and confidently.
You will partner closely with business, infrastructure, and operational technology (OT) teams to understand how systems are used in real-world environments and how cybersecurity can best support reliability, security, and business outcomes.
The focus of this role is on enablement and clarity, translating technical risks into actionable insights rather than acting as a gatekeeper.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner across business, infrastructure, and OT teams
- Translate cybersecurity risks (e.g., vulnerabilities, OT exposures) into business-relevant impacts and actionable options
- Support decision-making by clearly framing risks, trade-offs, and remediation pathways
- Assist with security reviews across OT environments and hybrid IT/OT architectures
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to understand real-world system usage
- Support secure integration of new assets, vendors, and acquisitions
- Prioritize remediation efforts based on operational impact and risk
- Track remediation commitments and timelines
- Identify recurring patterns and systemic issues
- Contribute to risk assessments, exception reviews, and cybersecurity documentation
- Gather and clarify security requirements for non-security stakeholders
- Create clear summaries, risk narratives, and visual materials for leadership
- Standardize processes and develop templates to improve efficiency and reduce rework
Required Experience & Skills
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), or industrial environments
- Energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure sectors
- IT infrastructure, networking, or systems administration
- Cybersecurity, risk management, or vulnerability management
