Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Analyst III
to support an on-premise Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12.2.10)
environment. This role focuses on functional and limited technical application support across Finance and/or Oracle Projects modules.
The ideal candidate will operate with minimal supervision, provide high-quality production support, and collaborate closely with business users and a large Oracle support team to ensure overall service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional and limited technical support for Oracle EBS Finance modules (AR, AP, GL, CM, FA, iExpense, iSupplier) and Projects modules (Costing, Billing, Accounting)
- Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions or workarounds
- Distinguish customizations from standard Oracle functionality
- Use SQL and diagnostic scripts to analyze data, extract reports, and identify integrity issues
- Develop data correction scripts to resolve defects caused by inconsistent data states
- Support UAT, conference room pilots, and validation of defect fixes and enhancements
- Execute required Change Management activities and comply with SOX controls (as applicable)
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to articulate system behavior (current vs. future state)
- Track deliverables and provide reporting to leadership
- Engage Oracle Support as needed for case resolution and patch validation
- Travel up to 10%
Daily Production Support Activities
- Respond to user-reported incidents via screen share or in-person
- Diagnose and troubleshoot application issues
- Provide workarounds or data adjustments using SQL scripts when necessary
- Program fixes for root causes and coordinate regression testing
- Promote approved changes through UAT and production environments
- Document incidents, workarounds, and recovery steps using incident management tools (e.g., Helix)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure issue resolution and system stability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- 5–7+ years supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite modules (Finance and/or Projects)
- Strong understanding of data flow between subledgers and General Ledger
- 3+ years of SQL and PL/SQL experience
- Working knowledge of Oracle EBS data model and architecture (Finance & Projects)
- Ability to interpret programming logic in Workflow, Apex, and BI Publisher reports
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Experience in production support environments
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of Oracle Apex development experience
- Experience in multi-developer team environments
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Prior experience in techno-functional or business analyst roles supporting Oracle R12.2 on-prem (recent experience preferred)
