  • A leading manufacturing organisation is undertaking a major transformation program focused on consolidating and optimising manufacturing sites.
  • To support this initiative, we are seeking a Junior Project Manager to assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of workstreams related to the consolidated manufacturing facility.
  • Reporting into a Senior Project Manager, this role will suit someone early in their project management career with exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or operations-led environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Project Manager in coordinating project activities related to site consolidation and facility optimisation.
  • Assist with planning and tracking project milestones, schedules, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordinate inputs from engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and external partners to support layout and material flow initiatives.
  • Assist with documentation and governance activities, including project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and steering committee materials.
  • Support layout and material flow initiatives across:
    • Saw Area and Production Areas
    • Warehouse and Despatch operations
    • Integration of equipment, workflows, and consolidated operations
  • Facilitate communication between shop-floor teams, engineering specialists, and project stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with manufacturing excellence and Lean principles.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Early-career project management experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, operations, or industrial environments.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations, factory layouts, or material flow concepts (hands-on expertise not required).
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Exposure to project governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced transformation environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
