Maintenance Technician

2nd Shift (1:30pm – 9:30pm), 1x Sunday to Thursday and 1x Tuesday to Saturday
Duration:
12-Month Contract
Pay:$29-34/ph
Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will perform skilled maintenance and repair work across multiple trades to ensure that machines, equipment, and building infrastructure remain in optimal working condition. Key responsibilities include:
- Repairing or replacing defective components using hand and power tools, followed by reassembly and testing.
- Conducting routine preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems to ensure efficient operation and prevent deterioration.
- Performing inspections of motors, drives, belts, and fluid levels; replacing filters and completing checklist-based maintenance tasks.
- Utilizing a wide range of tools, including hammers, hoists, drills, wrenches, precision instruments, and electrical/electronic testing devices.
- Installing, repairing, or maintaining wiring, electrical components, plumbing, pipe systems, and machinery.
- Diagnosing equipment issues through inspection, operation, and testing procedures.
- Documenting types and costs of maintenance and repairs.
- Cleaning and lubricating moving parts, including shafts, bearings, and gears.
- Dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and tools to access and remove defective parts.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to resolve mechanical and technical issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow established procedures.
- Adhere to safety and regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative and analytical problem-solving ability.
- Team-oriented with a strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems and tools, including design, repair, and maintenance.
- Understanding of production processes, quality control, and cost-efficiency techniques.
- Basic familiarity with engineering principles and technologies related to machinery and facility systems.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5–7 years of experience in a maintenance or multi-craft technician role.
