JOB TITLE: Manager-Project – Procurement & Supply Chain

LOCATION: Pomona, CA – Hybrid (2 days/week onsite)

SCHEDULE: M-F, 8am – 5pm

DURATION: 12-month contract

PAY:$58 - $68/hr


Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will manage and support sourcing and procurement initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and developing sourcing strategies for various material categories, including:

    o Poles, distribution and substation apparatus equipment

    o Wire and cable, transformers

    o MRO supplies, safety equipment

    o Chemicals and gases
  • Conducting competitive request for proposals (RFPs) to address short-term and long-term material requirements and achieve purchasing performance metrics such as timely delivery, right quality, and optimum cost.
  • Leading negotiations to achieve best value and favorable commercial terms and conditions.
  • Identifying suppliers and creating engagement plans to ensure competitive RFP participation.
  • Performing data analysis in Microsoft Excel and developing presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint to make data-driven sourcing recommendations.


    Essential Duties and Job Functions:

  • Manage sourcing projects across multiple material categories.
  • Execute RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain documentation for compliance.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.


    Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform data-driven analysis and make recommendations.
  • Understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier engagement, and contract management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of collaborating across cross-functional teams.


    Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with procurement of industrial equipment, MRO supplies, or safety/chemical products is a plus.
