Manufacturing Group Lead – Medical Device Manufacturing
📍 Location: St Paul, MN
💼 Full-time | On-site

I’m partnering with an established medical device manufacturer known for producing high-quality, regulated products that support patient safety and clinical outcomes. They operate in a lean, high-precision environment and are expanding their team with a Manufacturing Group Lead to support growth across production operations. This is a full-time, permanent position based entirely onsite in St. Paul, MN. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of $26–$28, with additional earning potential through overtime where applicable.

About the Role
The Manufacturing Group Lead will be responsible for coordinating activities within dedicated production areas, ensuring consistent output across safety, quality, throughput, inventory availability, and overall efficiency. This is a hands-on, floor-based leadership position focused on supporting operators, maintaining compliance with documented procedures, and driving daily operational performance.

While not a direct supervisory role, this position is highly influential within the production environment and supports training, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations within assigned production areas, ensuring goals for quality, delivery, and productivity are met.
  • Maintain compliance with manufacturing documentation, quality standards, and required production records.
  • Ensure materials and components are properly staged and managed, including Kanban-driven replenishment and inventory coordination.
  • Train team members on assembly methods, work instructions, and handling requirements for regulated medical products.
  • Support in-process checks such as first-article verifications, label reviews, and documentation accuracy.
  • Assist with equipment or workstation setup for upcoming work orders and help reduce changeover time.

What You Bring

  • Background in medical manufacturing or another regulated environment.
  • Experience in a lead or supervisory capacity within production.
  • Hands-on familiarity with lean manufacturing and inventory systems such as Kanban.
  • Strong communication and leadership within a production setting.
