A detail-oriented and motivated Material Coordinator
is needed to support a high-volume shipping warehouse operation in San Diego for a leading Biotech company. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of outbound shipments, material handling, and documentation to support global operations in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, label, and ship finished goods, consumables, and instruments.
- Prepare domestic and international shipments in accordance with DOT, IATA, and company regulations.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
- Use ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and shipping software (FedEx, UPS, DHL).
- Maintain documentation and comply with ISO, FDA, and cGMP standards.
- Collaborate with logistics, customer service, and manufacturing teams.
- Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and process improvement activities.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards (5S, EHS compliance).
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred).
- 2+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience.
- Familiarity with ERP and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Forklift certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in regulated industries (biotech, pharma, medical devices).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Cold chain shipping experience is a plus.
