Our client is a globally recognized medical device company. They are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Registry Representative to gather and verify patient data and perform high-volume data entry, comprising approximately 45% of the role's core focus. This position plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of implant patient registry records in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Collect missing information from external customers including hospital staff and doctor offices
- Review and evaluate patient and event information received; may gather additional data to determine if an event should be forwarded to the Complaint Department
- Perform peer auditing of IPR (Implant Patient Registry) data
- Sort and organize incoming mail by date
- Print and mail Implant Patient ID cards
- Respond to and answer basic patient registry questions
- Participate in projects and may identify potential improvement opportunities to optimize processes for Supervisor review
Within the First 90 Days:
- Develop a solid understanding of team processes and systems
- Achieve proficiency in handling standard workflows independently
- Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills
- Reduce reliance on supervision while escalating questions appropriately
- Contribute to backlog reduction and productivity goals
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field
- 2–4 years of experience required
- Experience in healthcare, biotechnology, or other regulated industries preferred but not required
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
- Previous experience in office administration or customer service preferred
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude, including MS Office Suite; ability to type 55 wpm accurately
- Excellent data entry and administrative skills with strict attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage confidential information with discretion
- Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers and provide feedback in a direct, tactful manner
- Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams
- Basic knowledge of complaint, HIPAA, and GDP regulations
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Good problem-solving skills
- Substantial knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures
- Regulated industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory; the ideal candidate thrives in structured, process-driven environments and adapts quickly to repetitive workflows
