Key Responsibilities
Cost Management / Forecasting/ Doc Control
- Perform monthly project cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Manage Purchase Requisition/ PO / invoicing process for all Project vendors in conjunction with Supply Chain & AP
- Evaluate cost and schedule impacts of change orders and contractor claims to ensure alignment with Contract requirements and approved capital budgets.
- Maintain change order logs for EPC/ OEM vendors
- Compile accruals to support month end close, including tracking of retention
- Contingency tracking and analysis
- Participate in Project Set up (WBS/ work orders) and project close out processes
- Lead project change control processes to establish new cost baselines, as required
- Maintenance of appropriate records within the Project sharepoint site – including tracking of Contractor Submittals
- Update established Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies to measure project performance.
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Track schedule performance and forecast potential delays or schedule risks.
- Critical path analysis to support analysis & management reporting
- Experience with Primavera P6 preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience (8 years) in lieu of a degree
- 5 years minimum experience in capital project management and/or project controls, preferably in power generation
- Experience with large scale capital projects in project controls is desired
- Experience with contract agreements including EPC/ OEM contracts
- SAP & Primavera6 experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP), scheduling software and advanced excel
