Project Coordinator – Utility Scheduling & Operations
This position supports a major utilities program focused on Main Panel Upgrade (MPU) work, coordinating scheduling, documentation, and communication across customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are scheduled, tracked, and completed in line with regulatory timelines and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate MPU disconnect/reconnect work
- Manage scheduling systems and track project timelines
- Prioritise and manage backlog of work orders
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate with customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders
- Provide updates on scheduling, timelines, and project status
- Ensure strong follow-through across multiple parties
Compliance & Process Adherence
- Monitor timelines to ensure compliance with regulatory (CPUC) requirements
- Ensure all work follows established MPU procedures and standards
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Track and update project data within internal systems
- Support reporting and data analysis as required
Requirements
Required:
- Experience in scheduling, coordination, administrative, or operations support roles
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage deadlines and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred:
- Experience in utilities, energy, or infrastructure environments
- Experience working with scheduling or workflow systems
- Exposure to regulated environments or compliance-driven processes
Additional Experience (Nice to Have)
- 0–3 years’ experience in analytical or data-focused roles
- Experience working with databases and spreadsheets
- Ability to gather, document, and analyse data
- Basic understanding of programming, reporting, or database structures
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus
