In this role, you will assist in the management and coordination of construction-related projects to ensure compliance with budget, schedule, and safety goals. You will support work performed by contractors and vendors while serving as a liaison between project stakeholders and internal teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on assigned projects.
- Participating in work walk-downs, validating acceptance of completed work against design requirements, and reviewing contractor payment requests.
- Assessing constructability, resource allocation, field status, and resolving project issues as they arise.
- Coordinating project activities with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, local officials, and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting scope control, budget oversight, scheduling, performance reporting, and technical issue resolution.
- Interfacing with landowners, local regulators, and state agencies as needed.
- Reinforcing safety standards, compliance with procedures, corrective actions, and appropriate work behaviors for employees and contractors.
- Coordinating activities across functional groups, including safety programs, engineering, construction, budgeting, analytics, and contract administration.
- Supporting communication and reporting with project management committees.
- Performing additional project-related duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Job Functions
- Manage and track multiple concurrent project schedules.
- Provide clear and timely updates on project status, priorities, and schedules to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Assist with scope management and ensure compliance with project budgets and safety protocols.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Smartsheet and/or Microsoft Project.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction project management principles, safety practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Electrical Engineering degree preferred but not required.
- 3–4 years of experience managing or assisting in construction or engineering projects.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies is highly desirable.
