Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will support and manage early-stage solar projects within the Pre-Construction group. The position works closely with the Solar Regional Lead Project Manager to guide projects through development and preparation before turnover to the construction team. Key responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership of assigned solar projects and managing them through the early-stage development process.
- Ensuring projects are technically feasible, commercially supported, financially viable, and aligned with scheduling requirements.
- Analyzing technical and financial data to identify trends, key variables, and indicators impacting project performance.
- Supporting the development, management, and oversight of capital budgets for assigned solar projects.
- Coordinating development and permitting activities while collaborating with internal subject matter experts and engineering teams.
- Supporting capital budget approvals and contributing to the development of construction plans and schedules.
- Assisting with negotiations and execution of commercial contracts related to solar project development.
- Investigating project optimization opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
- Utilizing various software platforms to manage project data, documentation, and deliverables.
- Communicating project updates and key insights to executive leadership with guidance from the Regional Lead.
- Supporting team organization, maintaining data deliverables, and ensuring overall project readiness and viability.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Manage day-to-day activities of assigned solar projects during the early-stage development phase.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, development, permitting, and financial teams.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and key deliverables to ensure readiness for construction handoff.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of project financial models and capital budgets.
- Monitor and analyze project data to support informed decision-making.
- Facilitate issue resolution and proactively address project risks and challenges.
- Support contract negotiations and project commercial agreements.
- Maintain organized project documentation and ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist leadership in maintaining project pipeline visibility and operational readiness.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering (Required).
- Experience in construction, energy, or solar industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated interest in project management and career growth within project leadership roles.
- Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, or technical project coordination is preferred.
