Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will manage and support early-stage development of High Voltage Transmission and Substation projects within the Engineering & Construction (E&C) Business Unit. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading multiple early-stage project activities, including:
o Developing project scope, constructability plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
o Coordinating engineering, procurement, permitting, and land activities.
o Preparing projects for handoff to construction with executable plans.
o Supporting financial modeling and cost estimating assumptions. - Ensuring projects are aligned with budget, schedule, and scope requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Development, Environmental, Legal, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations.
- Managing risks, identifying mitigation strategies, and communicating updates to leadership.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Coordinate all pre-construction (Early Stage) activities for transmission and substation projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and alignment with financial targets.
- Create and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones and identifying risks.
- Prepare and issue Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation for sourcing vendors and contractors.
- Support procurement efforts for engineering, materials, equipment, and construction services.
- Ensure all project components (permits, land, engineering, budget, schedule) are in place before construction handoff.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Lead coordination across multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment and execution.
- Assist in portfolio management and support leadership of project teams (for senior-level responsibilities).
- Represent E&C interests in meetings, presentations, and project briefings.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 8+ years of project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - PMP Certification.
- Experience with large-scale high voltage transmission and substation projects.
- Experience managing projects exceeding $100MM.
- Experience leading teams and direct reports.
- Strong business and commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset.
