This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented laboratory professional to join a Quality Control team within a fast-paced life sciences environment. Reporting to the Associate Director of Quality Control, you will provide essential laboratory support activities, assist with analytical and microbiological testing, and contribute to special projects as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will manage and support a variety of projects within the Quality Control department. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing solution preparation and reagent tracking
- Executing simple laboratory testing such as pH and conductivity measurements
- Supporting the ordering, receipt, and stocking of laboratory consumables and supplies
- Assisting with the receipt, processing, distribution, and shipment of samples to external laboratories
- Carrying out general laboratory support activities including reagent preparation, waste management, equipment maintenance, and housekeeping
Essential Job Duties and Job Functions:
- Performing accurate data entry in accordance with Good Documentation Practices and Data Integrity requirements
- Maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory working environment at all times
- Following all relevant GxP regulations, guidelines, and company policies to ensure regulatory and internal compliance
- Executing tasks precisely as defined in SOPs and work instructions
- Completing all assigned training within the defined timing and requalification cadence
- Fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture that supports innovation and continuous improvement
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven ability to follow detailed SOPs and maintain accurate records
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new techniques and adopt new practices as required
Education and Experience:
- A-levels in Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience working within a laboratory environment
