Our client, a global biotechnology company dedicated to developing innovative therapies that improve the delivery of life-saving treatments, is seeking a Revenue Contractor.
In this role, you will manage all aspects of revenue operations, focusing on gross-to-net (GTN) accounting accuracy, compliance, and data integrity. The position involves detailed financial analysis, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and preparation of revenue and forecasting reports to support executive decision-making. You will also oversee the onboarding and management of third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Job Functions
- Analyze and report revenue transactions, including proprietary product sales, rebates, chargebacks, and returns.
- Execute monthly payments related to Managed Care, Medicaid, Tricare, and CGDO/MDP programs.
- Review commercial contracts with wholesalers and distributors to assess revenue and GTN implications.
- Calculate and analyze GTN reserve accounts, proposing adjustments and explaining variances to budget.
- Review reconciliation reports and GTN forecasting models from third-party providers.
- Prepare monthly GTN results presentations summarizing reserve performance and key adjustments for Commercial and FP&A teams.
- Lead onboarding, integration, and ongoing management of 3PL partnerships.
- Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses during month-end close.
- Manage AR aging reconciliation and resolve outstanding return debit memos.
- Review collections and credit data, providing updates to Commercial teams.
- Oversee certain government-related payments in partnership with Accounts Payable and government contacts.
- Support external audits and internal reviews by preparing necessary documentation.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls for revenue accounting processes.
- Prepare schedules to support financial reporting, budgeting, and tax filings.
- Participate in system implementations related to GTN accounting and AR processes through 3PLs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills - Strong understanding of pharmaceutical pricing, reimbursement, and regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced financial management and analytical skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/accounting systems.
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Education & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in GTN accounting, preferably within the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
- Experience managing 3PL relationships preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
