Position Overview
A leading automotive OEM is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Service)
to drive supplier industrialization readiness and manage contract manufacturer quality performance. This role ensures seamless production scaling and supports both new program launches and ongoing service part quality performance.
You will partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure suppliers meet stringent APQP/PPAP and manufacturing readiness standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage suppliers to support industrialization and production readiness for multiple automotive components
- Support supplier selection and capability assessments (greenfield & brownfield projects)
- Drive APQP discipline and enforce PPAP requirements prior to production approval
- Develop and monitor KPIs including:
- PPAP on-time approval
- Cpk/Ppk
- First-pass yield
- PPM targets
- Lead process audits, PFMEA reviews, control plan validation, and Run@Rate assessments
- Ensure supplier scalability during production ramp-up
- Monitor industrialization performance and corrective action effectiveness
- Facilitate structured problem-solving for defects and launch risks
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support VA/VE cost optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- 1–3+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- APQP
- PPAP
- FMEA
- CAPA
- Lean Manufacturing
- Traceability requirements
- Experience with automotive component design & manufacturing
- Working knowledge of GD&T and datum structures
- Experience in extrusion and fabrication commodities
- VDA 6.3 credentials preferred
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949:2016
- Understanding of ISO 14001 (ISO 9001 preferred)
