Tech Transfer Lead – Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing
About the opportunity
A major biopharmaceutical manufacturing project in the Raleigh–Durham area is looking for a Tech Transfer Lead. You’ll own the handoff from the project and technical teams to the operations team that will run the facility, and make sure that team is ready for start-up. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll lead without direct authority.
What you’ll do
- Build and drive the tech transfer plan: milestones, deliverables, dependencies, ownership and readiness criteria.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer to operations, covering processes, equipment, systems and documentation.
- Identify and manage transfer risks, issues, interfaces and changes, and escalate when needed to protect the schedule and operational readiness.
- Run governance, decision-making and communication across a wide group of stakeholders.
What you bring
- 5+ years leading tech transfer, capital projects or similar complex initiatives in pharma or biopharma.
- Experience leading tech transfer in a GMP manufacturing environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- The ability to set your own priorities and see actions through to completion.
- A self-starter who builds relationships across technical and operations teams.
- Nice to have: PMP certification.
