Hydrogen Group is partnering with a leading electric vehicle manufacturer to find a skilled and motivated Vehicle Operations Specialist
in Chicago, IL. This role will play a vital part in daily vehicle operations and site logistics, supporting innovative mobility solutions in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key operations team member, managing schedules, prioritizing vehicle workflows, and coordinating activities with on-site managers.
- Monitor and maintain charging station capacity and functionality in alignment with customer demand.
- Manage vehicle lot organization, ensuring safe and efficient driveline access at all times.
- Complete final quality checks and initiate accurate service orders, providing relevant feedback to other internal teams.
- Support vehicle appearance standards through wash, detailing, and paint correction activities.
- Prepare and validate delivery paperwork for open states; organize, file, and ship completed dealer jackets to central titling team daily.
- Conduct routine audits related to security, inventory, and asset tracking.
- Communicate roadblocks and escalate proposed resolutions to leadership when necessary.
- Monitor and restock supplies and inventory; proactively request replenishment when needed.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory, completing all relevant Bill of Lading documentation.
- Prepare and stage vehicles for remarketing and coordinate transport to auctions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with onsite and remote teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in assignments while adapting to evolving tasks and priorities.
- Ask questions, identify issues, and provide customer-centric solutions in real time.
- Perform additional duties as required, including working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities with guidance from leads or management.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or vehicle lot management.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- EV and/or vehicle detailing experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and work on your feet throughout the day.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain local sales licenses (if applicable in your state).
- Proficiency in computer systems and inventory tracking tools.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Passion for clean energy, sustainability, and working in a people-first culture.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% to support other market locations and launches.
